TourismMelaka's 12 September 2026 journal is the page that states the Night Safari runs on the first Saturday of every month. November landed on Saturday 7 November. The next first Saturday is 5 December 2026, the first weekend of Melaka school holidays.
What the zoo itself prints
Amazing Zoo Melaka, amazingzoomelaka.com.my, posts day operations as Monday to Friday 10:00 to 17:00, counter closes 16:00. Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays 09:00 to 18:00, counter closes 17:00. Weather and safety can cut that short. There is no Friday night line on that homepage. If you drive to Ayer Keroh at 20:00 on a random Friday, the gate you want is the day zoo, and it has been closed for hours.
This site's own PLACE.md used to repeat the Friday-Saturday rumour. That line is now corrected. The standing trap list is /closed-days. Persona 1 still types "Zoo Melaka safari malam" because that is the household job. The answer is a calendar Saturday, not a weekly habit.
TourismMelaka, 12 September 2026: first Saturday of every month, 20:00 to 23:00, ticket counter to 22:30. RM10 for Malaysian citizens with MyKad or MyKid. Visitors in full traditional Melaka ethnic attire get in free. Cap 1,200. EverydayOnSales repeated the 7 November edition with ticket sales from 20:00 and the same 1,200 cap. Once the allocation is gone, later arrivals do not get the RM10 window.

The night gate is not a zoo-only product. It is the Ayer Keroh arm of Melaka Bila Larut Malam, the state late-night programme. Compass November 2026 named Saturday 7 November as that month's first Saturday, with Zoo Melaka night safari, Menara Taming Sari, and the river cruise on tickets from as little as RM10. Malay Mail, via Bernama, found the November Deepavali edition still running at Stadthuys grounds and Jonker Walk on 7 November. December venues need the next state notice. Do not copy November's Deepavali stage onto 5 December.

A day visit still works any week. The 54-acre park in Ayer Keroh holds more than 600 animals. It is the country's second-largest zoo after Zoo Negara. Hang Tuah Jaya, Lebuh Ayer Keroh, not Bandar Hilir. From Kota Laksamana you drive. From a Queen Street coach you Grab. Pair it with Taman Botanikal across the road if the children still have legs. Wonderland next door is closed Monday except school and public holidays, so a 5 December Monday water-park add-on is the exception, not the rule.
If you only have Friday night, pick satay celup at Ban Lee Siang from about 17:00, or the taman pasar malam of the day on /pasar-malam. Do not burn fuel to Ayer Keroh for a night safari that is not running.
