Jalan Hang Jebat (鸡场街)
鸡场街 by daylight: antiques, pineapple tarts, cafes, shophouses. The Fri-Sun night market is a separate market row. Locals still shop here before 18:00.
About Jalan Hang Jebat (鸡场街)
Jalan Hang Jebat is the Malay street name. Chinese copy uses 鸡场街. English tourism still says Jonker Street. By day it is a shophouse street: antiques, bakeries, Geographer Cafe, and the walk through to Heeren Street and Jalan Tokong. Friday-Sunday from 18:00 the road becomes Jonker Walk night market. That crush is a market, typed separately. Regulars buy tarts and look at furniture in daylight, then leave before the stalls go up. MBMB car-free hours on nearby Jalan Istana, Jalan Gereja, and Jalan Laksamana run Friday 18:00 to Sunday midnight. Park at Mahkota Parade or Dataran Pahlawan and walk.
